bullet to the brain response

There were a lot of different thoughts I had on this story and am not sure how to make them come out making sense but I'll give it a try...
From the beginning of the story you get a feeling of Anders not being good with people or any type of relationship with people. From the beginning he deferred his anger of getting to the bank late on the women in front of him. His starcasm and lack of patients toward human tendencies shows a lack of intimacy with others. When you learn more about Anders life you can see why he wouldn't trust people, or let alone want to be initmate with people especially women. All of the moments that Anders doesn't rememeber would have been events in his life that were life changing or defining of his personal self. I find it interesting that the thing that he does remember is a period when there was no responsibiliy, he was a boy in a stage of innocence. It is a happy and entrancing moment for him. I think this could be seen as Object petit a. This memory is a time in his life that he has lost, and long to return to.
I also think that Anders may feel a guilt for the things that he has repressed in his life. And a way to release that guilt and anger is through his job. For a living Anders is a critic, a savage one at that and maybe that is a way that subconsciously he is letting out his anger and hatred from past events on to others without even knowing it.
